“Forever solely Lasts within the Past”

“I love you forever and ever”,

Never have I detected a sweeter lie.

A lie that rolls sweet like sugar-coated candy off your tongue,

But burns Associate in Nursing acidic hole within the pit of my abdomen.

A lie that may are a lot of likely

Had you used the tense?

For not one entity has the gift of true immortality.

Unless it’s entrapped within the tight and unyielding grasp of the Past.

The Past,

Where everything ceases to exist nevertheless ne’er stops existing.

Much like our love,

Forever will solely exist within the Past.
